Blackson Nwanyanwu And Siblings Accused Of Beating Up Their Brother’s Wife (Graphic Photos)

A mother of six children, Love Nwanyanwu has accused the leader of Etche Legislative Assembly in Rivers State, Blackson Nwanyanwu for allegedly attempting to kill her. Mrs. Nwanyanwu who is married to a cousin of Mr. Blackson claimed she is yet to know when both of them had quarrel where she offended this councilor representing ward twelve in the Etche Legislative Assembly. The victim of gang beating while narrating her ordeal to newsmen her brother-in-law and three others wanted to eliminate her. According to her story, this current beating is stemming from land disputes her husband and the Blackson had had long ago. She has formally lodged a complaint of alleged attempted murder before the Human Rights desk in the Rivers State Police Command. Mrs.

The woman with fresh swollen face and evidence of bloodstain on her eyes from the fresh injuries she sustained during the beating cried for help even as she called on relevant security agencies to ensure this councilor does not break the law and go unpunished. She claimed he has been boasting that the case will not go further than their family. One of the daughters of the woman, Miran Nwanyanwu claimed that Mr. Blackson Nwanyanwu during their conversation on phone said he does not regret the action he took against her mother. When contacted the unrepentant boastful councilor representing ward twelve in the hallowed chamber of the Etche Legislative Assembly Mr. Blackson Nwanyanwu through text message replied, “some of you will meet me in court”. This was after several newsmen put calls to him and repeatedly ignored and refused to return their calls.

In, the meantime, the Spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni said they are investigating the matter. SP Omoni also confirmed that the woman has been issued a medical form to proceed for treatment.

Beat up by her inlaws

A human rights defender in Rivers State and Chairman Coalition of Civil Society, Enefa-a Georgewill who condemned the action of the lawmaker advised that the security agencies do a thorough investigation into the matter and ensure the law takes its course. Mr. Georgewill said there is no justification for the action of Mr. Blackson even if the woman has wronged him.
